1995 - 2001 I had the privilege to be the first consumer
member ever to sit on the Louisiana Board of
Examiners for Speech Pathology and
Audiology. I saw much of the state attending
meetings with the board and also traveled
around the country attending public advocacy
workshops and conventions.

1996 - 2001 Proudly, I can say I was a charter member of
Junior Auxillory of Iberia Parish. Having been
born and raised in New Iberia, I found a
passion in wanting to give back to our beautiful
community. Today I serve JA of Iberia Parish
as a life time member. Although not actively
involved, I donate a piece of art work to the
annual "bids for kids" auction.

2001 Moved to Lafayette, LA in order to embrace
this gorgeous art filled city and in turn it embraced me. A friend encouraged me to put my work in a new shop in town and in a few weeks all of my pieces were sold out. I brought more and from there a career was born.
2001 - 2004 Volunteered at the Miles Perret Center. A new
place that just opened to serve those battling cancer. Having lost my dear mother in 1982 to cancer I had empathy for those we served.

2004 PASA (Performing Arts society of Acadiana)
asked if I'd be one of the 'Tap City" cast and
perform on stage. It was all a fabulous well
thought of fundraiser for PASA, in combination
with the NYC professional cast. Along with Tap
City, I continue to donate a piece of work
annually for PASA's Golden Gala.

2004 I was selected to participate in another fundraiser
in Lafayette and be on the 'Best Dressed' panel.
Both of these wonderful organizations brought me
in touch with fabulous people.

2005 - 2010 Volunteered with the Healing House, a haven for
children ages 4-17 that are grieving the loss of a
loved one. We help to 'faciltate' comfort and
understanding to the kids. We put on summer art
workshops. Each year since then to present, I
have sat on the planning committee for it's annual
fundraiser, titled Martinis!

"The great reward - I am an owner of a number of Hope HEbert's art work that we have proudly displayed in our home. I have purchased her wine bottles, faces of Hope, guitar, and buildings just to describe a few and I love them all. Mrs. Hebert's flare colorful expressions of life, style, versatility and quality of work never fails to impress all of her clients. I highly recommend her work to anyone who has an interest and love for art. Mrs. Hebert's shows are a must!"
